DAY 1: (Arrive Rome)

No other city in the world equals the history of the Eternal City. Founded more than 2700 years ago, the city of Rome reigned as the Caput Mundi, or Capital of the World.   

With a heady blend of artistic and architectural masterpieces, classical ruins, and extravagant baroque churches and piazzas ,  Rome is Italy's treasure trove, packed with two millennia of artistic achievement. It's here that a metropolis once bustled around the carved marble monuments of the Roman Forum, where centuries later Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) painted Christian history in the Sistine Chapel, where Gian Lorenzo Bernini's nymphs and naiads dance in their fountains, and where an empire of gold was worked into the crowns of rulers for centuries. For culture-seekers and historians this city simply oozes with possibilities for discovery, a chance to step back in time yet have one foot firmly in the present. It’s one city where you can have an espresso in a square designed by Bernini, then take modern metro (train) back to your hotel room in a renovated Renaissance palace.


DAY 2: (ROME,  HALF DAY PRIVATE Tour)

The tour includes visit of  Imperial Rome with the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus and Capitol Hill.

 Visit the “Must See” Sites of Rome on the half day private tour.  Places visited  include the Colosseum completed in 80 AD.  This ancient monument was commissioned by Emperor Vespasian whose aim was to gain popularity by staging deadly combats of gladiators and wild animal fights for public viewing.  Another landmark that you will see and visit in the city is the Roman Forum around which ancient Rome was developed and where commerce, business, prostitution cult and the administration of justice took place. Circus Maximus an enormous structure which was used for entertainment events such as the gripping chariot races that were a huge favourite of the Roman people also features on our itinerary. A tour of Rome is not complete without a  a visit to Capitol Hill. With its panoramic view, it was Rome's symbolic center and held the Temple of Jupiter.  Nowadays, it hosts the Municipality of Rome.

Price includes half-day guided tour with English speaking tour guide, private minivan and entrance fee for the Coliseum.

DAY 3: (Rome, half day private tour)

The tour includes visit of the Vatican Museum and Saint Peter Basilica.

This half day tour of the Vatican ,  the smallest state in the world ,  includes a visit to the Vatican Museums and Saint Peter’s Basilica. The Vatican Museums house one of the world's most important art collections  in palaces originally built for Renaissance popes  and are home to the Sistine Chapel and Raphael rooms.  Saint Peter’s Basilica the world’s largest Basilica of Christianity was constructed in the area where Saint Peter had been martyrized. The cornerstone was laid in 1506 on the site of a church covering Peter's tomb. Inside are many important art works, including Michelangelo's famous Pieta.   

DAY 4: (Departure)

Breakfast and private  transfer to Airport for departure.
