Here is the review I tried to post on trip advisor, however, they rejected the review because they do not publish reviews of travel agents.  I was able to post the portion about Jordan’s tours, however.  I thought you would like to know how much we appreciated the spectacular arrangements you made for us and what we would have said in a review if we could have!

We booked a tour of Greece for 16 days with Travelive in June of 2010.  They developed alternate itineraries for our tour based on our budget, and over several months we listened to their advice, honed  and negotiated what we wanted, paid for the trip, and set off for Greece. The trip started with 5 days of guided taxi tours through Athens, the Sounion coast, the Peloponese, Meteora, and parts of mainland Greece with Jordan Ntaioglou Athens Tours.  We then spent 3 days in Mykonos (Santa Marina Resort), 3 days in Santorini (Mystique), 4 days in Crete (Domes of Elounda) and a final day in Athens on our own.  We were amazed that each resort or hotel Travelive arranged for us was slightly more spectacular than the last, with an incredible final stay in Crete at the Domes of Elounda with a private swimming pool, beautiful grounds and tree shaded beach.  Whenever there were travel glitches (and there will always be travel glitches), the folks at Travelive or the resorts they sent us to worked together to get us to our destination with a minimum of fuss.  We easily arranged for side tours (Delos), shopping trips, and rental cars (Knossos and  Iraklio), through the concierge of our various resorts. They all  took very good care of us.  But the thing that set the trip apart was the guided taxi tour at the beginning by Jordan Ntaioglou. His passion for his country, its history, its culture, food, and people added a depth to our Greek experience that we could not have gotten anywhere else.  Before every sight seeing stop, he described to us the importance of what we were going to see, making each tourist stop part of a tapestry of ancient and modern history.  Jordan took us to out of the way places and showed us not just the ancient ruins we thought we wanted to see, but fishing villages, mountain villages, historical markers, countryside, people, road stops, tavernas and bakeries that we would have never otherwise seen.  Those first five days set the stage for the enjoyment of the remainder of our tour, and together with the seamless travel arrangements made by Travelive and the amazing resorts they booked for us, this was the trip of a lifetime.

Thanks for a spectacular time. It was everything we wanted and more than we could have expected.

Dear Michelle,

Jeff and I just wanted to thank you for your help in organizing our recent honeymoon in Greece.  We had selected the 10 Nights: Athens, Mykonos & Santorini itinerary.

In Athens we stayed in Hilton, and had an amazing view of the Acropolis.  In Mykonos we selected Santa Marina Resort.  The property was spectacular and had private beach in one the most beautiful peninsulas of the island.  We partied it up in the Mykonos Town which was only few km away.  Our most favorite part of the honeymoon was spent in Santorini.  We selected Mystique in Oia and the property with its amazing views took our breaths away.  We received incredible treatment and really enjoyed all the amenities that the hotel had to offer.  The location was perfect.  We would highly recommend staying in Oia, taking steps down to the water, eating in Ambrosia restaurant, and taking the sunset cruise.  The sunsets in Santorini deserve a special mention are unlike all the sunsets we had viewed before.

We were extremely happy with Travelive, all their research, and services.   Everything was arranged in timely manner and we didn't have any problems.

We had an amazing time! This vacation lived up to every high expectation I had for it and fulfilled a dream I have always had of going to Greece.

Thank you and your team for changing our hotel in Athens so we didn't have to deal with the protests. Also, thank you for ensuring our luggage made it to the correct hotel. We received it before we departed for Santorini. That added level of service was not expected, but greatly appreciated. Our suite at the Hilton provided us a nice view of the Acropolis, which we took advantage of by taking lots of pictures.

On your suggestion, we were able to see the Changing of the Guards without interruption the day we arrived in Athens. Unfortunately, we were not able to get into the Acropolis or the New Acropolis Museum the next day due to the strike, but our tour guide compensated by taking us on a great tour of the city and explaining a lot of its history. Effie, our guide, ensured we were well educated and entertained despite the issues caused by the strike. She also took us to Filopappos Hill, where we had an unobstructed view of Athens and were able to take some great photos of the city and the Acropolis.

The hotel on Santorini, Andronis Luxury Suites, was breathtaking. The views were inspiring and the chef at the hotel restaurant created dishes that make me hungry just thinking about them. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Our time there was exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

I cannot even describe how amazing the sunsets are in Oia. Each night we tried to find a new location to view the changing colors in the sky. We also managed to get up and see a sunrise, which was equally as spectacular. The walk to Fira from Oia added even more memories, and pictures, of our wonderful Greek vacation. Thank you for making it the most it could be.

Hello Mina and other staff at Travelive......

We have been so busy since we got back from our Greek vacation, but I just wanted to take the time to let you know how pleased we were with our vacation. 

First of all---THANKS a million for Takis!!  He was great and was the perfect guide for us.  Not too much information, just enough and he was always able to answer any questions that we had.  He allowed us time where we wanted extra time and he was ready to move on when we were ready.

All of our accommodations were perfect---each of our hotel rooms had a balcony with an incredible view (one of our requests) and the staff at each hotel was very accommodating and eager to make everything perfect.  I think we must of had the best room at each of the hotels--I can't imagine it being any better!  At Hotel Europa (the one in Olympia) the owner was in the lobby when we arrived, he immediately recognized Takis and although a bus was checking in he (the owner) personally got our room key and we didn't have to wait.  The front desk staff and daily housekeeping staff at Elounda Mare were exceptionally friendly and our "bungalow" was amazing--so amazing that we left the resort only once for about 3 hours!  HAHA!!  I could sit on that balcony forever--it is so peaceful and the view was like no other!  We were very tired from the mainland tours so Crete was the perfect ending of the vacation-- perfect for doing nothing, just enjoying the quiet and the time away from our stressful jobs.  The Athens airport hotel was awesome also---I know that sounds crazy, but we couldn't believe how quiet the rooms were. 

I really believe October is the time to visit Greece---most of our photos have few people in the background and we didn't have to wait for anything anywhere!  We are so glad that we decided to do the private tour instead of bus tours--we saw more of what we were interested in and didn't feel like we were wasting any of our precious vacation time.  Thanks also to your office for changing our flight from Crete back to Athens (we got an earlier flight so we would have more time to sleep for our international flight the next morning).  It was really nice to know that your office is "right there" in case we needed anything, but it was even more wonderful that we didn't need anything the entire 10 days---Not one thing would I have changed!  Thanks to you, your office and all of your hotel affiliates for a perfect vacation!

I really wanted to write you sooner, but I had a wedding, baby shower and school reunion upon my return.  This is the first chance I have to thank you for a “job well done”.  My husband and I had a delightful time and will definitely be returning to Greece in the future.  Hopefully we will be able to bring our entire family the next visit.

Sorry it took me so long to respond.  It has been a bit crazy since we got back.  We miss Greece already. We had an amazing trip!  We kept raving about every last detail, it was all perfectly timed and very well suited for us.

Athens was very nice. The Divani Acropolis was in a perfect spot, the dinner and view on the rooftop was like a dream. Tasos our guide was very helpful and made it fun with his personality and stories. 

The flight to Santorini was short and sweet, which was nice and a beautiful landing spot. What an amazing island. We were very happy with Oia and the Andronis was more than words can say.  It was beautiful and the staff were sweet and very accommodating.  We were very happy with our room and our choice of stay.  Thira was nice as well, we did visit
it for dinner and shopping, but were glad we were staying in Oia...much more quiet and quaint.

Honestly, it was like you read my mind on exactly the places that we wanted to visit.  Of course we were enamored with Athens and its history, loved Santorini, but honestly my favorite part of the trip was Crete.  I was so happy you didn't have us stay in Chania (we drove around the island and visited a few placed).  Rethmynon was exactly what we were looking for--- and the Avli was the best hotel I've ever stayed at.  Their service and attention to detail was incredible.  I celebrated my birthday their and they were so sweet!!!
 
A few friends have already expressed interest in travelling to Greece and I have already passed your travel agency's name along.

My husband and I arrived back from this wonderful trip last night and I just need to tell you how fantastic it was!  You saw to every detail of our trip to perfection!  Let me start with the accommodations.  Both the Athens Gate and the Belvedere were outstanding.  In both places the view from our balcony was amazing!  The staff was extremely helpful.  In Athens, Jordan, our tour guide, was outstanding.  I would recommend him to anyone!  He was knowledgeable and very helpful.  I am sure he brought more of the city to life for us than would have been possible without him or with another tour guide that doesn't share Jordan's passion for the city.

At the Belvedere, we can not say enough about the staff.  From reception (Lina and Nicolai), to the wait staff/concierge (Serge), to the worlds best bartender, George-nothing could have been better.

Just wanted to thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful trip for Scott on one days notice. Even though he was alone, he really enjoyed himself. The tour was fantastic and the accommodations were lovely. The delicious breakfasts were a great way to start the day.

He even met a lovely woman (a professor that once lived in Texas) on the plane, that took him to dinner along with her 16 year old daughter.

I am looking forward to getting there myself one day!

I am so sorry for the delay!  The world has just been crazy these past 2 months and I've been swamped.  Anyhow, let me fill you in on the Honeymoon:

Athens -  The King George worked out fine for the evening.  While we did have the minor mishap when we first checked-in, I think the hotel was perfect for the evening.  For an extended stay in Athens, a hotel with a few more amenities (e.g. gym, spa, etc.) would definitely be better, but for one night you couldn't beat the location.  We ate at Varoulko while in Athens and it was certainly one of the most memorable dining experiences we had while on the trip.  The food was exquisite.

Mykonos - The Santa Marina was AMAZING!  Thank goodness I listened to you and didn't switch this!  The help at the hotel was fantastic and our room was just unbelievable.  We had a suite with sweeping views of the ocean.  The private beach was phenomenal as well!  Nammos was very very cool (and very very expensive!!!) and we enjoyed several afternoons there.  The town of Mykonos is also just amazing.  The gyros were a particular favorite!  We also rented a quad while there, which I highly recommend to anybody who goes there...it's a fun way to get around the island and is very cheap (Euro 25 per day). 

Santorini -  We got into Santorini during a gorgeous sunset.  It was quite beautiful and we then got into Oia and descended the steps to Mystique amidst a beautiful golden light.  It truly set the mood for a wonderful time!  The Mystique was gorgeous and our room with steam shower, hot tub and gym was phenomenal.  Unfortunately, it rained for 2 of the 3 days we were in Santorini, which I hear is virtually impossible!!!  However, on the nice day we chartered a catamaran for the day and my wife and I just had a very relaxing day on the water and swimming in the hot springs.  We ate dinner one night in the cave at the Mystique restaurant and it was phenomenal.  Another evening we ate a restaurant in Oia that was recommended by Dmitra (the concierge) and the last evening we ate in the fishing village that is down the steps from Oia (I forget the name of the village).  This dinner, by far the cheapest, was the BEST dinner we had in all of Greece.  Fresh fish right off the boat that they caught that day...it didn't get any better!  We loved it!!!!

Crete -  This was a great way to end the trip.  The Elounda Peninsula was a gorgeous resort property that had all of the amenities that a Westerner would expect from a resort.  The spa there was absolutely one of the nicest spas I been to ever and the private pool was just unbeatable!  I am very glad that we did upgrade to the 2 floor suite as it was a magnificent room!  The food in Crete was fantastic, particularly Megomis.  We really enjoyed that restaurant...

Anyhow, it all went without a hitch and I couldn't be more appreciative.  Thank you for everything!!!  I know we have pictures of the Honeymoon on Ofoto, so I will see how I can transfer them over to a file and send to you.

Our trip was amazing.  Thanks so much.  Where to start. 

Mykonos - Beautiful hotel, we didn't do much but lay around, but the hotel was perfect for that.

Santorini - We LOVED Canaves.  The staff was incredible.  We loved the feel of the hotel and the location was perfect.

Crete - So you were right, Crete and Avli in particular blew us away.  The staff there was AMAZING, friendly, helpful, treated us like family.  The setting there is perfect and that city is a great launchpad for that side of the island.  The highlight of our trip, was our last day on Crete, a Saturday.  The folks at Avli recommended we visit a local winery for their first harvest/crush early Saturday morning (9AM - ouch).  We went, and were the only two non-family members there.  What an incredible experience.   We helped pick grapes, crush with our feet, and enjoyed several meals with the family - along with numerous tastes of Raki - you know we brought some home.  Check out some of those pics - we really had a blast.  We actually have ended up trading emails and pictures with them.  That was the Greece we were hoping we could get a feel for. 

Athens - Tour was great.  Takis was our guide - very friendly and knowledgeable - I think I learned more in 2 hours than all of 7th grade.

And thank you for arranging all the transfers and details.  The logistics were perfect and really helped make the trip stress free.  Here are some of our favorite pics.

Sorry I took so long to write back. The trip was wonderful. Greece is beautiful and everyone was so friendly. It was a pleasure to have someone meet us and transport us to our hotels and back to the airport. It made things so much easier.

The hotels were above and beyond what I expected and the service was the best. Especially Andronis Luxury Suites!  Elizabeth and John were so accommodating. They even upgraded our suite to the Apollo Suite! It was magnificent! Our tour guide in Athens was so informative.  I learned more about Greece that day then I did in school. You did a great job and made my 60^th birthday gift an experience I’ll never forget.

My only regret is that I did not do it 40 years ago.  I have told all my children to do it now while they are young and to call you when they are ready to go.

Our trip to Greece couldn't have been more perfect. Everything went so smoothly and was precisely planned allowing us to just relax and enjoy ourselves.

The Hotel Grande Bretagne was wonderful; great location, incredible brunch and they had a nice bottle of champagne and strawberries in our room for us. Guided tour of Athens was great...Jordan was very informative and had impeccable timing - we were one step ahead of the crowds all day.

The Mystique Resort in Santorini was spectacular. What a beautiful spot. We did a lot of relaxing at the resort. With the first-class service and such stunning views there wasn't much need to venture off.  It was exactly the type of vacation Ann and I needed. When we did feel adventurous the staff coordinated everything making it easy to do what ever we wanted.

We have many happy memories and beautiful pictures from our trip. Mina, thank you for planning such a perfect trip, it truly was the least stressful trip I have ever been on because it was so precisely coordinated. I have already recommended you to many. If any potential client ever asks you for a referral please feel free to have them contact me.

Hope this finds you well!

We had the GREATEST trip. Greece was amazing !  I will send you our pictures in a bit - there are lots of them!  I made comments under each picture so you can see what you are looking at.  We did a lot of sight seeing, relaxing, drinking wine and eating.  It was wonderful.  All of your transportation was perfect .... everywhere we went there was a guy standing with a sign .... and we laughed cause they were all Mercedes (Mykonos was a Porsche)!!!  We didn't have to worry about a thing.

King George was great - we spent the first day kinda sleeping in the hotel.  We had dinner both nights in Plaka and went to the Acropolis.  I can't remember the name of both the restaurants off the top of my head ... but they were great. 

Avli in Crete was such a unique spot - we really enjoyed it.  And that restaurant there is fabulous - we had such a great meal.  We rented a car and drove to all the southern beaches (although we almost divorced on the dirt road down the mountain in the Fiat).  Nicko was wonderful ... and the service was great.  We loved that we were right in the heart of the city.

Santorini was OUR FAVORITE!  I almost didn't leave.  Mystique was the most phenomenal hotel we have ever stayed at - service was amazing and the location was perfect!!! I could have stayed here for the whole time :)  That island is just incredible -  We went wine tasting twice (rented a car here also) and drove to the beaches one day.  But we could have never left Mystique!  We had dinner at Ampelos in Fira (per your recommendation and this was one of our FAVORITE dinners), Ambrosia & Nectar was also really good.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE Santorini. 

Mykonos was also great ... But this was literally the last week of the season so many of the restaurants were closed and Kivotos was very quiet (I think there was only like 5 other rooms occupied) .... But this made Hora such a joy to be in .... no crowds :)  It was wonderful.  We also drove around one day which was great - the only way to really see the island.  We had dinner at Phillipe (best mussels ever), Alefkantra, Antonini and Avra.  The food was great everywhere we went.  And the weather was amazing .... we got SO lucky!!!  We had one day of rain in Athens and one day in Santorini.

We will recommend you to any of our friends .... The trip was wonderful, hotels perfect and it was all so organized!  Thank you for all your help!!!

The trip was great. I was going to send you an email when we got back, but, I got back to work right away and forgot. Thank you for all your help in making our honeymoon really memorable. We had so much fun at every stop. We specially loved Oia. Wish we could've stay there a few more days.
